Creating 814LA and HJD
Hi HJD,
My name is Hallie Teich and I am 18 years old. I have been working on starting my own clothing company for about 4 years now. Starting before high school, I have always loved art and fashion. I have taken numerous art classes and fashion programs- learning about artistic craft, sewing skills, and style choices- which has really helped me start 814LA and HJD.
The Original idea halliejordyndesigns
My original idea was simple; I wanted to combine the two things I love most: art and fashion. That is why I created halliejordyndesigns. Starting small I printed a few pieces of my artwork onto hoodies and crewnecks and began selling to close friends and family, photographing, and making videos so everyone can see the work I love creating so much. It was so fun to see the ideas in my head come to life. As time went on I kept exploring new ways on how to expand and grow the idea of art and fashion combined. I wanted to create a whole new brand identity and website that ties my love for design aesthetic, artistic craft, and fashion. I decided to separate HJD as my personal outlet to post my outfits, new artworks, and personal ideas; and started 814LA a new brand where I would actually be selling and developing clothes for everyone to enjoy. 
The meaning behind 814
As I brainstormed new brand names I began looking at the name halliejordyndesigns. looking at the name HJD I noticed H is the 8th letter of the alphabet, J is the 10th, and D is the 4th- deriving 814 from the original HJD. These numbers happen to have a very important message behind them. The definition being——seeing 814 repeatedly is believed to be a message indicating that you are fully supported by the universe, and that your hard work and personal truth will result in success. To me this definition aligns exactly with what I believe in- A little bit of luck, prosperity, reaching your goals, and success. The perfect message I want to spread because I believe following your passions and enjoying what your doing will lead you to success and luck.
814 and HJD in the future.
I want to continue using both sights 814LA and halliejordyndesigns to be my creative outlets. 814 lets me share my creations to all of you to be worn and to spread a meaningful message. On HJD I will continue to post blogs day to day and share my new creations.
